Abstract:
Red doctor culture represents a special cultural form developed by people of all ethnic groups under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the revolution， construction， and development processes. It closely unites people of all ethnic groups in the historical context of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation， possessing great significance for strengthening the sense of community for the Chinese nation. This article adopted ethno-symbolism as an analytical framework， revealing the internal mechanism of red doctor culture in activating the sense of community. The research indicated that red doctor culture adhered to the purpose of serving people’s health wholeheartedly， constructing a health community where all ethnic groups share weal and woe. It firmly upheld the mission of inheriting fine traditional Chinese culture and promoted the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine， shaping a cultural community that shares honor and disgrace. Red doctor workers and people of all ethnic groups worked in unity and cooperation， jointly safeguarding life safety and national security in critical moments， thereby building a security community forged through shared struggles. Red doctor culture embodied firm ideals and beliefs， uniting all ethnic groups into a community of shared future bound by common convictions. On this basis， this paper proposed practical paths to strengthen the sense of community for the Chinese nation through red doctor culture， aiming to realize effective transformation of red health resources from historical memory to contemporary identity.
