Abstract:
Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic synovitis and progressive bone destruction.Traditional anti-rheumatic drugs can,to some extent, control inflammation, but it is challenging to achieve the reversal and repair of bone erosion. In recent years, temporal immunomodulatory hydrogels have emerged as a novel drug delivery system. These hydrogels can modulate the treatment of RA bone destruction by regulating the “immune-osteogenic”cascade reaction.Additionally, the temporally regulated release of immunomodulatory factors and osteogenic inducing factors by the hydrogels helps coordinate the immune modulation and bone repair processes, demonstrating significant potential in the treatment of RA-related bone destruction. This provides theoretical guidance and treatment ideas for developing an efficient and precise strategy for the repair of RA-related bone destruction.
