Abstract:
Acinetobacter baumanniiis an opportunistic pathogen of hospital acquired infection. In recent years, with the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, immunosuppressants and glucocorticoids, the drug resistance of strains has become increasingly serious, and carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(CRAB) has appeared. There is a thick capsular coating on the surface of Acinetobacter baumannii, which can protect bacteria, enhance their resistance to antibiotics and increase their drug resistance, thus affecting the bactericidal effect of antibiotics. It is urgent to develop new antibacterial agents. After bacteriophages infect bacteria, they can kill bacteria by destroying cell walls. The depolymerase encoded by bacteriophages can degrade the bacterial capsule polysaccharides, which makes bacteriophages further infect and lyse bacteria. It plays an important role in the antibacterial activity of bacteriophages, while is not easy to develop drug-resistance, and is expected to become a substitute for antibiotics. In this paper, the classification, action mechanism and application progress of Acinetobacter baumannii phage depolymerase were reviewed in order to provide a reference for the prevention and control of drugresistant Acinetobacter baumannii infection.
