Abstract:
In the current era where digital technology is reshaping the cultural communication ecology, the cultural cognition mode in human society is undergoing a profound transformation from a text-centric to a visually-centric approach. Knowledge visualization, as a crucial force driving this transformation, is systematically propelling the transition of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture from an “empirical paradigm” to a “visualized paradigm.” From multidimensional perspectives such as cultural studies, linguistics, and phenomenology, this paper analyzed the theoretical foundation for the integration of knowledge visualization and the inheritance of TCM culture, and addressed the contemporary dilemmas in traditional mentor-apprentice models, classic text dissemination, and linear inheritance. On this basis, it proposed three concrete paths for transforming the inheritance methods of TCM culture under the trend of knowledge visualization. These included shifting from the “experience-oriented” mentor-apprentice inheritance to the narrative construction of “visual culture,” from the “rationalist” cultural recognition to the value identification of “integration of reason and emotion,” and from the cultural inheritance of “linear knowledge” to the systematic inheritance of “mind mapping.” Collectively, this study provides theoretical and practical references for the creative transformation and innovative development of TCM culture.
