Abstract:
Hydrocele is one of the most common lesions of the male reproductive organs. However, the occurrence of Leydig cell tumor is relatively rare. In addition, cases where the two lesions are identified simultaneously have been very rarely reported in the literature. In the patient of this case, a hydrocele was clinically suspected and an intratesticular mass was found simultaneously with the hydrocele during an imaging examination. And then, radical orchiectomy was performed under the clinical suspicion of seminoma, the most common type of testicular tumor. The histopathological examination revealed a final diagnosis of Leydig cell tumor without malignant tendencies. In this case, we report a case of Leydig cell tumor, a rare sex cord-stromal tumor of the testis, found simultaneously with a hydrocele.
