Abstract:
Ultrasound-guided injection therapy for the hand and wrist provides precise medication delivery to affected areas, enhancing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing damage to the surrounding structures, such as nerves, blood vessels, and tendons. The anatomical structures of the hand and wrist are located superficially, making ultrasound diagnosis straightforward and ultrasound-guided injection therapy highly effective. This technique is commonly used for the trigger finger, de Quervain’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, and various wrist joint disorders. Ultrasound improves the treatment accuracy and safety by considering the unique characteristics of each condition. In trigger finger and de Quervain’s disease, ultrasound guidance enhances the precision of injections into the tendon sheath. In carpal tunnel syndrome, it reduces the risk of nerve injury, leading to better therapeutic outcomes.
