Abstract:
Patients with bipolar disorder (BD) more likely have physical diseases comorbidity than general population, which make their clinical features and treatment strategies more complicated. BD comorbidity physical diseases may influence the clinical severity, the recovery rate, the quality of life and the risk of death. This article reviews the relationship between BD and physical diseases, the clinical features of BD comorbid with physical diseases and treatment strategies for comorbidities.
