Abstract:
Objective:To understand the current level of clinical nurses' knowledge about medical adhesive-related skin injuries (MARSI) .Methods:Using convenience sampling, 1 123 clinical nurses from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were selected as study subjects in March 2024. A general information questionnaire and a self-designed MARSI knowledge questionnaire were used to collect data. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to explore the factors influencing clinical nurses' knowledge of MARSI.Results:A total of 1 200 questionnaires were distributed and 1 123 were returned, resulting in an effective response rate of 93.58%. The average score for MARSI knowledge among the 1 123 clinical nurses was (32.75±6.78) . Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that professional title, years of work experience, and whether they have received MARSI related training were the influencing factors of MARSI cognition among clinical nurses ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Clinical nurses' knowledge of MARSI is at a low level. Managers can develop intervention strategies based on the factors influencing MARSI knowledge to improve clinical nurses' understanding of MARSI.
