- Abstract: This paper reviews the risk factors and commonly used assessment tools for subthreshold depression in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). In addition, it explores cognitive-behavioral intervention measures aimed at alleviating subthreshold depression in these patients, while also identifying existing challenges and potential directions for future research. The objective is to raise awareness among clinical managers in China regarding the symptoms of subthreshold depression in T2DM patients and to provide a reference for the development of targeted nursing interventions.
