Abstract:
Dual-energy CT enables acquisition of multi-parametric information beyond conventional CT through various post-processing techniques.Among these,virtual monoenergetic imaging has demonstrated outstanding performance in improving image quality,facilitating diagnosis,detecting isodense and small lesions,optimizing angiographic protocols,and reducing contrast medium dosage and radiation exposure.This article reviews the fundamental principles,technical advantages,and emerging clinical applications of virtual monoenergetic imaging.
