The Application Value of Multi-parameter Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Prognosis Assessment of Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract:
Objectives:To investigate the application value of multi-parameter cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging in evaluating the prognosis of coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods:A total of 1690 patients with CHD were retrospectively enrolled in this study.All patients underwent comprehensive CMR imaging at 3.0 T.The CMR protocols included cine imaging,and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) imaging.All patients were followed-up by telephone.The primary endpoint was major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE),including all-cause death,heart failure related hospitalization,and cardiac death.Results:During a median follow-up of 41 (37,49) months,MACEs were recorded in 456 patients (27.0％).Multivariate Cox analysis showed that left ventricular ejection fraction (HR=0.954,95％CI:0.945-0.963),two-dimensional longitudinal peak strain (HR=1.182,95％CI:1.133-1.233),infarct volume (HR=1.037,95％CI:1.032-1.043),percutaneous coronary intervention (HR=0.975,95％CI:0.937-0.991),two-vessel disease (HR=1.344,95％CI:1.076-1.683) and three-vessel disease (HR=1.651,95％CI:1.309-2.083) were independent predictors of MACE (all P<0.001).Conclusions:CMR can be used to evaluate the prognosis in patients with CHD.
