Abstract:
Objective To investigate the elderly inpatients'willingness to receive care in integrated medical care and nursing service institutions and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods Elderly inpatients at a tertiary general hospital were surveyed using a questionnaire based on the Theory of Planned Behavior model and scale. Results Significant differences were found in the willingness to choose integrated medical care and nursing service institutions based on the number of children and employment status of the inpatients(P<0.05).Behavioral attitudes were significantly correlated with subjective norms,per-ceived control, and behavioral intention(P<0.01).Behavioral attitude was found to significantly and positively influence be-havioral intention through linear multifactor regression analysis(β=0.360,P<0.05).Conclusion A high proportion of hospi-talized elderly patients express willingness to choose integrated medical care and nursing service institutions, yet this expressed willingness frequently does not result in actual utilization.Employment status and number of children are key demographic influ-encing factors, while behavioral attitude is the primary factor influencing the intention to choose such institutions, according to the Theory of Planned Behavior.
