Abstract: The patient was admitted for treatment due to"unconsciousness for 2.5 hours",and was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure,intracranial hemorrhage(non-traumatic),respiratory acidosis,and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.During hospitalization,piperacillin/tazobactam was used twice for anti-infection treatment,both of which resulted on a sudden drop in platelet count on the following day.After discontinuation the medication and symptomatic treatment,the platelet count quickly returned to the normal range.
