Abstract:
Bone marrow adipose tissue(BMAT)is not merely a filler of bone marrow cavity,but also possesses active endocrine and paracrine functions related to metabolic diseases,bone diseases and hematological disorders,etc.Non-invasive quantitative measurement of BMAT has great clinical significances.Currently,imaging methods for quantitative measurement of BMAT include conventional MRI,hydrogen proton MR spectroscopy,chemical shift imaging,Dixon technique and CT.Their principles and clinical applications were reviewed in this article.
