Abstract:
Objective To explore the medication rules and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)internal treatment methods for burns based on data mining and network pharmacology. Methods To retrieve relevant literatures on the treatment of burns using TCM internal treatment methods from China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,VIP and Yiigle. The retrieval time was from the establishments of the databased to 1 August 2024.Excel was used to calculate the frequencies of traditional Chinese medicine usage and analyze their properties.SPSS Modeler 18.0 software was employed to construct a network of herbal associations and calculated the strengths of associations between traditional Chinese medicines.High-frequency drugs were analyzed using data clustering in SPSS 24.0 software.Core herbs were selected based on herbal frequencies and network topology values. The effective components and related targets of core herbs were obtained from traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform(TCMSP)and HERB database.Burn targets were identified using GeneCards and DrugBank databases, and overlapping targets were screened.Cytoscape 3.9.1 software was used to construct and analyze the network of herbs-components-targets and protein-protein interaction networks, with core components and targets were identified through network topology values.R was utilized for enrichment analyses of overlapping targets. Results A total of 108 articles were included, yielding 64 prescriptions and involving 121 herbal medicines. The properties of the medicines used for treating burns were primarily cold and warm, with flavors were mainly sweet and bitter. The core herbs were milkvetch root, dihuang, baical skullcap root, and Flos Lonicerae.Core components were quercetin, luteolin, kaempferol, baicalin, and Diincarvilone B.Core targets included interleukin(IL)-6,tumor necrosis factor,serine/threonine kinase 1,IL-1β,prostaglandin endoperoxide synthase 2.Signaling pathways involved regulating blood lipids, advanced glycation end product-receptor of advanced glycation end,IL-17,and tumor necrosis factor, etc.Molecular docking results suggested there was a strong binding between core components and core targets. Conclusion The internal treatment of burns with TCM reflects a strategy of combining cold and warm properties and balancing supplementation and drainage.Core herbs may exert therapeutic effects through multiple components, multiple targets, and multiple pathways.
