Abstract:
Irritability is defined as a decreased setback threshold associated with increased anger outburst,which could be both a normal emotion in an individual's developmental stage as well as a cross diagnostic psycho-pathological symptom with functional impairment.The article provides a review of the definition,related factors,neurobiological mechanisms,evaluation strategies,and treatment measures of irritability,aiming to help better under-standing of irritability in normal psychological development and in clinical psychiatry.
