Abstract:
Research has shown that the efficacy of androgen deprivation therapy in combination with novel hormonal therapies and chemotherapy can be predicted based on several biomarkers, including changes in PSA kinetics following treatment, expression levels of the androgen receptor and prostate-specific membrane antigen, circulating tumor cells, and gene mutations. Moreover, constructing a multivariate prediction model that incorporates tumor burden and metastasis timing can provide additional guidance for selecting appropriate treatment options. This article aims to provide robust evidence to support individualized treatment approaches for patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC).
