- Abstract: Acute cerebral infarction,as a severe cerebrovascular disease with high disability and mortality rate,seriously endangers people's health.Mechanical thrombectomy,an effective method for treatment in acute cerebral infarction,was controversial in the treatment of cerebral infarction with large ischemic core,basilar artery occlusion,and mild stroke in the past.However,with more in-depth research in recent years,people have gained new understanding of mechanical thrombectomy in these three types of acute cerebral infarction,and thus the prognosis of patients has greatly improved.This article mainly reviews the new progress in mechanical thrombectomy for treatment of these three types of cerebral ischemic diseases:cerebral infarction with large ischemic core,basilar artery occlusion,and mild stroke.
