Abstract:
Objective To develop the hyperbaric oxygen barrier system which was smtable for experiments in tumor-bearing fluorescence nude mice and met the NASA100 level high efficiency filter air standards. Methods An air inlet and outlet composite pipe frame connected with the air intake was designed. The composite pipe frame air inlet and outlet ducts were connected with the air inlet and outlet of the independent ventilation cage (IVC).Inside the filter was a NASA100 level high efficiency filter membrane. Results The device was called the HBO-IVC,which was harbored in the 0.2 MPa oxygen-rich HBO chamber. With the help of pressure potential, the oxygen-rich air was filtered twice with the high efficiency filter of the HBO-IVC and the membrane of the independent ventilation cage.As a consequence, attached dust and pathogens could be thoroughly filtered, thus ensuring the biological features of tumor-bearing fluorescent nude mice in the pathogen-free environment. Conclusions The HBO-IVC was suitable for experimental researches of HBO intervention in tumor-bearing fluorescence nude mice raised in the pathogen-free environment.
