Abstract:
Objective To investigate the psychological status of military personnel during the "Mission Harmony-2013",especially females,so as to provide rational intervention if required.Methods Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used to investigate the mental health of 71females and 75 males deployed during "Mission Harmony-2013".Results Incidence rates of anxiety among the females and males were 7.9％ and 6.2％ respectively,which was 2.0％.No significant differences could be noted in the occurrence of anxiety between the male and female at various stages of deployment.The incidence rates of depression in females and males were 4.2％ and 4.0％ respectively.No significant differences could be noted in the incidence of depression between males and females.Conclusions The females engaged in " Mission Harmony-2013" had relatively good psychological quality.There were no significant differences in the psychological status (anxiety and depression) between females and males at various stages of deployment.
