Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the effects of psychological nursing intervention in the navy shipboard personnel who received surgery due to bone and joint lesion,so as to provide solid evidence for the development of effective psychological intervention mode. Methods Incident event scale (IES-R) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) were used to make psychological evaluation in the 104 post-surgical navy shipboard personnel who received surgery due to bone and joint lesion.Eighty patients who voluntarily took part in the research and with the HAMA scores of over 14 were selected as the research subjects. The subjects were randomly divided into the experimental group that received combined psychological nursing, and the control group that received basic nursing, each consisting of 40.Following one week of nursing care, scores of IES-R and HAMA were evaluated respectively in the patients of the 2 groups, and comparisons were made in the obtained results to evaluate the effects of combined psychological intervention.SPSS 13.0 statistical software package was used for statistical analysis. Results (1) When comparisons were made between preintervention (44.25 ±3.12)and post-intervention data, statistical significance could be seen in the scores of IES-R for the experimental group(P <0.05).(2) The scores of IES-R after intervention for the experimental group and the control group were respectively(20.38 ± 1.69)and(40.95 ±2.55),and statistical significance could be noted when comparisons were made between them (P < 0.05).(3) When HAMA scores before intervention (18.62 ± 2.42) were compared with those after intervention (6.54 ± 1.55),statistical significance could be seen in the experimental group(P < 0.05).(4) Following intervention, the scores of HAMA for the experimental group and the control group were respectively (6.54 ± 1.55)and (15.28 ± 1.99),and statistical significance could be seen when comparisons were made between them(P < 0.05).Conclusions Combined psychological nursing intervention in the navy shipboard personnel with bone and joint lesion could effectively remedy and alleviate the stress and arxiety experienced by those shipboard personnel following surgery, and facilitate early recovery of physical and mental conditions.
