Abstract:
Objective To propose a sample preparation method for adsorbent resin materials with multiple pores and high adsorption to enhance the biological evaluation accuracy of the materials.Methods Firstly,two kinds of adsorbent resin materials and a hydrophilic one were selected and sample pretreatment was respectively carried out for the materials with differences in hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity.Secondly,extracton of the adsorbent resin materials was performed with sterile double-distilled water as the medium and the ratios calculated based on the wet apparent densiies,and then the extracts were aspirated and formulated into the complete culture medium.Finally,the complete culture medium prepared with the extracts was detected in terms of the pH,salinity,fetal bovine serum and glucose content and cytotoxicity.Results All the three resin materials could be submerged in the extraction medium after pretreatment to achieve full extraction;the color of the extraction solution did not change when sterile double-distilled water was used as the extraction medium,and the resin materials had no effects on the pH,salinity,fetal bovine serum and glucose content and cytotoxicity of the complete culture medium formulated from the extracts.Conclusion The improved sample preparation method eliminates the interference caused by resin adsorption for the extract,has no effects on the subsequent cytotoxicity assay results and ensures the objectivity and accuracy of biological evaluation.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(8):38-43]
