Abstract: This review analyzes the concept of decision regret and summarizes the current state of research on decision regret experienced by surrogate decision-makers for ICU patients, including available assessment tools, research findings, influencing factors, and coping strategies both domestically and internationally. The aim is to to provide a basis for constructing a program of regrettable decision-making interventions that is appropriate to our cultural context.
