Abstract:
Facilitating meaning reconstruction in bereaved individuals is an effective psychotherapeutic approach to grief healing. This review summarizes five commonly used assessment tools for evaluating meaning reconstruction in the bereaved and explores influencing factors such as demographic characteristics, the cause of the loved one's death, and sociocultural contexts. The regulatory and mediating roles of meaning reconstruction in the adaptation process to bereavement are also discussed, providing a theoretical and practical foundation for future research.
