Abstract:
Tic disorder is a common neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by motor or vocal tics. The etiology and pathogenesis have not been fully elucidated.Increasingly, studies have shown that immune-mediated chronic inflammation of the nervous system plays an important role in the onset and progression of tic disorder.Histamine is an endogenous biogenic amine with peripheral and central immunomodulatory functions, which plays a crucial role in regulating the cortex-striatum-thalamus-cortex circuit, and exerts dual effects in the process of neuroinflammation. This review aims to investigate the pathological mechanism of histamine in the neuroinflammation of tic disorder.
