Abstract:
Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)are a group of chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory diseases, the etiology of which is not completely clear.Recent studies have found that the intestinal infection rate of Klebsiella pneumoniae in IBD patients is significantly higher than that in healthy people.Animal experiments have also shown that the intestinal colonization of Klebsiella pneu-moniae aggravates the development of IBD.With the continuous evolution of pathogens,Klebsiella pneumoniae with multi-drug resis-tant characteristics has been widely spread around the world, which makes it difficult to effectively eliminate colonized Klebsiella pneu-moniae by conventional antibiotic treatment, and may cause related disease risks. At present, the understanding of how Klebsiella pneumoniae affects the intestinal environment to promote or aggravate IBD is still very limited. It is of great significance to understand the mechanism of Klebsiella pneumoniae affecting the occurrence and development of IBD and to explore potential therapeutic targets. This review summarizes the association between Klebsiella pneumoniae and IBD and the possible mechanism of Klebsiella pneumoniae affecting the development of IBD,in order to provide clues for further research.
