Abstract:
Objective:To construct a family integrated care program for patients undergoing esophageal cancer surgery based on supportive care theory, and provide a theoretical basis for caregiver involvement in caring for patients. Methods:Based on supportive care theory, a family integrated care program for esophageal cancer surgery patients was constructed by literature review, semi-structured interview and expert consultation from October 2023 to May 2024, and the importance of items were identified. Results:A total of 18 experts were included, including 3 males and 15 females, aged 33-61 (46.44 ± 6.63) years. The response rates for the 2 rounds of expert correspondence were 18/19 and 18/18, the expert authority coefficient was 0.94, and the Kendall coordination coefficients were 0.146-0.210 and 0.211-0.229 (all P<0.05). The final family integrated care program was formed, including 5 first-level items, 23 second-level items, and 66 third-level items. Conclusions:The family integrated care program for patients undergoing esophageal cancer surgery constructed based on supportive theory was scientific and essential, and can guide caregivers to involve in caring for patients undergoing esophageal cancer surgery.
