Abstract:
In vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) with egg donation can help women who are unable to conceive by their own egg due to advanced age or the other various reasons. This technique could fulfill their desire to become mothers. Although this technique is well developed and has been widely used, there are still many ethical issues waiting to address, such as the sources of donor eggs, the criteria for donors and recipients, the number donated and receipted eggs, compensation for donation, disclosure of the information of donor and recipient. It is necessary to thoroughly discuss and carefully consider these issues to provide new insights for adjusting management policies and resolving ethical controversies in reproductive medicine.
