Abstract:
Acute myocardial infarction still does great harm to the health and economy of modern society.Current studies have shown that thymosin β4(Tβ4)can promote epicardial activation,protect cardiomyocytes by reducing apopto-sis,promoting survival and migration,and inhibit the inflammatory response and fibrosis caused by myocardial infarction.Furthermore,it can induce neovascularization and improve mycardial blood supply.This article reviews the research pro-gress of Tβ4 in the pathogenesis and treatment of acute myocardial infarction.
