- Abstract: Transvaginal ultrasound guided oocyte retrieval is a very critical core step in in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer treatment of infertility. The operation time is usually short, but the needle will pierce the vaginal wall and the tunica albuginea of the ovary, and the operation inside the ovary can still cause discomfort and pain to the patient. In order to alleviate the pain caused by surgery and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, clinical and basic researchers have been researching and exploring better analgesia methods that meet the expectations of patients. This article reviews the research progress of analgesic methods in transvaginal ultrasound guided oocyte retrieval.
