Abstract:
Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is an endocrine disease that seriously affects reproductive health and life quality of women of childbearing age. At present, there is no effective treatment to restore ovarian function. In recent years, many studies have shown that different sources of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), cytokines and exosomes secreted by MSC can restore the ovarian function and fertility of POI patients by improving the microenvironment of ovarian tissue, immunomodulation, promoting follicular development, inhibiting granulosa cell apoptosis and so on. This article reviewed the current status of the treatment of POI, the possibility assessment and mechanism of different MSC and their exosomes.
