Abstract:
Neuroinflammation refers to the innate and adaptive immune responses initiated by various immune cells releasing inflammatory mediators after harmful injury.Neuroinflammatory diseases are diseases caused by inflammatory reactions in the nervous system.Astrocytes are the most common glial cell type in central nervous system.Microglia,as immune cells, have ability to monitor and clear pathological damage.Recent studies have shown that there are complex interactions between astrocytes and microglia, which together participate in the progression of neuroinflammatory diseases and play a key regulatory role. This review briefly introduces the interaction mechanisms between astrocytes and microglia in neuroinflammatory diseases, including Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,Huntington's disease and migraine, aims to provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of neuroinflammatory diseases.
