Abstract:
Objective:To explor the effect of sodium dependent glucose transporters 2(SGLT2)inhibitors combined with dietary intervention on blood lipid indicators and liver function in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods:A total of 41 NAFLD patients treated with SGLT2 inhibitors combined with routine dietary intervention in our hospital from December 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively included in the combination group.Another 1∶1 matched case-control study method was used to include 41 NAFLD patients who only received routine dietary intervention during the same period as the control group. The body mass index(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR),blood lipid indicators[(total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglycerides(TG)]and liver function indicators[alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)]before and after intervention were observed in both groups.Result:BMI,WHR,TC,LDL-C,TG,ALT,and AST were decreased of control group and combination group after intervention, and BMI,WHR,TC,LDL-C,TG,ALT and AST of combination group were significantly greater reductions compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:SGLT2 inhibitors combined with dietary intervention can effectively improve lipid metabolism disorders in NAFLD patients, and enhance liver function in NAFLD patients, improve liver function and reduce obesity levels.
