Abstract:
Intrauterine adhesion (IUA) is caused by damage to the basal layer of the endometrium, leading to endometrial fibrosis, formation of scars and even partial or complete obliteration of the uterine cavity, which affects reproductive prognosis. Hysteroscopic adhesionlysis is considered the gold standard treatment for IUA. Surgical techniques and intra-operative guidance by ultrasound or combined laparoscopy is the key step. The ultimate aim of treatment is to recover the shape of uterine cavity as much as possible and repair the endometrium, then improve fertility. Post-operative comprehensive treatment is required to promote endometrial repair, inhibit fibrosis formation, prevent recurrence. It is also very important to help patients with fertility requirements achieve fertility soon after operation.
