Abstract:
Objective:Based on the theory of five elements,it aims to analyze the function and role of WHO in the governance of global public health products,and proposes improvement suggestions.Methods:WHO's public goods governance mechanism are examined from the five dimension of the theory of five elements.Results:WHO plays a central role in the governance of global public health products but faces challenges such as the malfunction of international organization regulation,countries'refusal to cooperate,and prejudice in vaccination.Many actions have been implemented by WHO,including policy formulation,technical support provision,implementation of action plans,and improvement of collaboration,to address different problems in the governance of global public health products.Conclusion:WHO is indispensable in promoting global health equity and safety,but it needs to further clarify its strategic positioning of public health products,optimize relevant governance mechanisms,and strengthen capacity building.China can strengthen cooperation within the WHO framework to jointly address global health challenges,share experience and technology,and help improve public health capabilities in public health products.
