Abstract:
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common reproductive endocrine disease in women of reproductive age. Its etiology is complex and its clinical heterogeneity is high. Metabolic abnormality is an important characteristic of PCOS and plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of PCOS. This paper mainly reviews the reproductive endocrine disorders and metabolic abnormalities of rodent models induced by various modeling methods, discusses the applicable research of various models and provides a reference for the selection of PCOS rodent models, which matter in the etiology research and therapy exploration of PCOS.
