Abstract:
Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs in walls of blood vessels and is common pathological basis of cardiovascular diseases.A variety of immune cells and inflammatory factors are involved in occurrence and development of atherosclerosis.Neutrophils and granular proteins are closely related to occurrence and development of atherosclerosis and formation of thrombus.Neutrophils play an important role in occurrence and development of atherosclerosis by releasing granular protein and neutrophil extracellular trapping net.Neutrophils and their released active molecules can be used as new targets for treatment of athero-sclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases.
