Abstract:
Objective To explore the efficacy of endoscopic thyroidectomy via subclavian single incision in treatment of pa-tients with thyroid cancer. Methods In this study,132 thyroid cancer patients who underwent thyroid surgery at the First Affil-iated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from July 2022 to June 2024 were selected.Based on the surgical approach, the pa-tients weredivided into Group A(traditionalanterior neck approach open surgery,68 cases)and Group B(subclavicular single-in-cision laparoscopic surgery,64 cases). The surgical-related indicators, pain levels, thyroid function, incision cosmetic satisfac-tion,and postoperativecomplications werecompared between the two groups. Results The surgery time in Group B was longer than that in Group A,but the intraoperative blood loss in Group B was lower than that in Group A,and the postoperative drain-age volume in Group B was higher than in Group A(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the drainage tube re-moval time and hospitalization duration between the two groups(all P>0.05).The VAS scores at 3 days,7 days, and 1 month after surgery were all lower in Group B than in Group A(all P<0.05).Thelevels of TSH,FT3,and FT4 at3 days post-surgery were higher in Group B than in Group A(all P<0.05).At 3 months post-surgery,the cosmetic satisfaction with the incision in Group B was higher than in Group A(χ2=10.534,P=0.001).There was no significant difference in the overall incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(χ2=0.706,P=0.401).Conclusion Endoscopic thyroidectomy via subcla-vian single incision is safe and reliable, with less blood loss, less postoperative pain, less influence on thyroid function and high cosmetic satisfaction.
