Abstract:
Midline catheters, as a novel and safe intravenous access device, demonstrate significant advantages in patients with difficult venipuncture and short-term venous therapy (1 to 4 weeks) . This study systematically elucidates the core advantages of midline catheters in venous access selection, thoroughly analyzes common complications and potential risk factors following catheter placement, and proposes the application of nursing risk management strategies to midline catheter management. This study aims to drive nursing staff to proactively implement preventive interventions through precision risk management strategies, thereby effectively reducing the incidence of complications following midline catheter placement and ensuring the safety of intravenous fluid for patients.
