Metabolic Characteristics and Changes of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Associated with Dryness Syndrome in Northwest China

- Abstract: Objective To explore the characteristics and changes of metabolic differential products and related metabolic pathways in type 2 diabetes associated with northwest dryness syndrome by non targeted metabonomics.Methods Twenty five patients with type 2 diabetes(ND-T2D)and 25 patients with type 2 diabetes(T2D)were selected.Non targeted metabonomic analysis of samples was carried out using ultrahigh liquid mass spectrometry(UHPLC-QTOF/MS)metabonomic technology.Multivariable and univariate methods were used to explore the metabolic differential products of type 2 diabetes related to northwest dryness syndrome by using unsupervised principal component analysis(PCA)and supervised partial least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA),Identify relevant metabolic pathways through the PATHBANK database.Results A total of 2 negative ions(NEG)were screened for statistically significant differences,all of which were upregulated,while 5 positive ions(POS)were all upregulated;It involves 10 metabolic pathways,mainly concentrated in nicotinic acid metabolism and Nicotinamide metabolism.Conclusion Nicotinic acid metabolism and Nicotinamide metabolism play an important role in the occurrence and development of northwest dryness syndrome related type 2 diabetes,and play an important role in the study of the pathogenesis and pathogenesis of northwest dryness syndrome related type 2 diabetes.
