Abstract:
Studies have found that gut microbiota and bile acids metabolism play an important role in the occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance(T2DM-IR).Recent studies have shown that the abnormal transformation of qi and Liver-qi collaterals caused by liver dysfunction is the key to the pathogenesis of T2DM-IR,which is closely related to intestinal flora and bile acid metabolism disorders. This article delves into the crucial role of intestinal microbiota and bile acid metabolism in regulating qi and collaterals within traditional Chinese medicine treatment from a hepatic perspective. It unveils its favorable impact on enhancing insulin sensitivity and achieving balance in energy metabolism, thereby offering valuable references for clinical management of T2DM.
