Abstract: The activation of microglia is the central link in the development of cognitive dysfunction in sepsis-associated encephalopathy,which causes a series of chain reactions.Autophagy was closely related to the activation of microglia.It can regulate neuroinflammatory response through a variety of mechanisms and affect the pathophysiological process of patients with sepsis-associated encephalopathy(SAE).This article reviews the regulatory mechanism of autophagy on microglia activation in SAE and the strategies for the treatment of SAE,in order to complete the clinical transformation and find new diagnosis and treatment ideas as soon as possible.
