Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effects of constraint-induced movement therapy combined with active vestibular reha-bilitation training on upper limb function, muscle tone and balance function in children with spastic hemiplegia.Method:A total of 40 children with spastic hemiplegia in our hospital from January to November 2023 were selected, and they were divided into control group(n=20)and experimental group(n=20)by random number table method. The control group received conventional upper limb constraint-induced movement therapy, while the experimental group received conventional upper limb constraint-induced movement therapy and active vestib-ular rehabilitation training for 12 weeks. They were assessed with Fine Motor Function Measure(FMFM),Mod-ified Ashworth Scale(MAS)and Berg Balance Scale before and after treatment.Result:After 12 weeks of intervention, the FMFM score,MAS score and Berg score were improved in the two groups, and the FMFM score and Berg score in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group with significant difference(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant difference in the reduc-tion of MAS score grade when compared with the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Active vestibular rehabilitation training combined with constraint-induced movement therapy can en-hance children's interest in training, reduce upper limb muscle tone, and effectively improve upper limb motor function and balance function in children with spastic hemiplegia, which has a certain clinical value.
