Abstract:
With the development and improvement of surgical techniques and perioperative management, the overall survival rate after pediatric liver transplantation has continued to improve. Liver transplantation has become the most effective treatment for end-stage liver disease in children. The long-term survival of pediatric liver transplant recipients is affected by a series of factors such as primary disease, surgical timing, surgical method, and postoperative management. How to establish an individualized management plan after transplantation, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and improve the long-term quality of life after transplantation has become the focus of current research. This paper explores the current status and future prospects of pediatric liver transplantation from five aspects: the development history of pediatric liver transplantation, surgical indications, surgical innovation and development, postoperative immunosuppressant regimens, and long-term follow-up management, in order to further promote the development of pediatric liver transplantation in the future.
