Abstract:
Objective To develop a scientifically grounded, objective, rational, and effective monitoring and early warning evaluation index system for hospital-based emergency responses to acute infectious diseases. Methods Utilizing the World Health Organization's system for evaluating infectious disease surveillance and response, the initial indicator pool was de-veloped through a comprehensive literature review and panel discussions. The Delphi method was employed to refine the hospital emergency acute infectious disease surveillance and early warning evaluation indicators for hospital emergency acute infectious dis-eases through two rounds of expert consultation, which also established the corresponding weight coefficients. Results Following expert consultations and group discussions,a comprehensive index system for monitoring and early warning evaluation of hospital emergency acute infectious diseases was established, comprising four primary indicators, twelve secondary indicators, and forty tertiary indicators. Conclusion The results of the two rounds of expert consultation demonstrate a high level of authority. The de-veloped index system can offer a more objective assessment of the actual capabilities of hospitals in monitoring and providing early warnings for acute infectious diseases. This research contributes to the theoretical foundation and support for the high-quality de-velopment of public hospitals provides theoretical basis and support.
