Abstract:
Biomacromolecules with inherently disordered or low complexity structural domains within the body can undergo liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)to form biomolecular aggregates. At present, the research methods of LLPS mainly include fluorescence bleaching recovery technology, liquid transmission electron microscope monitoring droplet formation technology and so on.More and more studies show that LLPS are involved in normal physiological processes and maintain homeostasis. However, abnormal LLPS cause irreversible aggregation and deposition of proteins, which in turn lead to Neurodegeneration, tumors, infectious disease, etc. The article provides a review of the research status in the study of the role of LLPS in arteriosclerosis, myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, myocardial fibrosis, heart failure, dilated cardiomyopathy and obese cardiomyopathy, the aim of this study is to provide references for the development of LLPS-based therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular diseases.
