Abstract: Thermal ablation therapy for benign thyroid nodule(BTN)offers advantages of minimally invasive procedures,safety and efficacy,having been widely applied in clinical practice,whereas facing unique challenges due to the inherent characteristics.It is necessary to establish independent standards and formulate relevant technical details and patient management protocols of thermal ablation therapy of BTN.A panel of experts from relevant domestic fields was convened to develop this consensus through in-depth discussions based on the latest research advancements,aimed to promote the standardized application of thermal ablation for BTN.
