Abstract:
Most patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) had portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) at initial diagnosis, which is characterized by high complication rate, treatment intole-rance and poor prognosis. HCC combined with PVTT is a major challenge in the treatment of liver cancer. With progress in therapeutic concept, locoregional therapy, targeted and immunotherapy, the combination of multiple modalities for translational therapy has become a new paradigm. However, there is no widely accepted protocol for translational therapy. This article summarizes the current diagnosis and treatment of HCC combined with PVTT, and the research protocols of combined translational therapy with various modalities, aiming to provide a basis for the future clinical reference.
