Abstract:
The indications for botulinum toxin type A injection are increasing year by year, and the scope of application is increasing, but there are few reports on the hypertrophy and shaping of the trapezius muscle. This article made a review on this aspect, elaborated on the anatomical basis of shoulder and neck contour curve, trapezius muscle anatomy, the research progress and current status of botulinum toxin type A injection for trapezius muscle hypertrophy, and summarized the injection sites, complications, risk control, and indications for this treatment method.
