Abstract:
Migraine is a primary neurological disorder characterized by high prevalence and high substantial disability. Although pharmacological intervention is essential for migraine prevention and treatment, it is plagued by several limitations such as suboptimal efficacy, frequent adverse drug reactions, and drug abuse, which may contribute to migraine chronification or medication overuse headache. Behavioral therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and relaxation therapy have been increasingly recognized as complementary or alternative options to medication for migraine care in recent years. This article reviews current research progress on the clinical application and mechanisms of behavioral therapy in migraine management, with the aim of providing valuable insights for clinical practice.
